I mentioned in my first post that my daughter is helping me out and asking to see a new painting everyday she comes home from school. The days sometimes get busy so I started these small flower sketches filled in with watercolor. Just enough to get in my creative fix. I am so looking forward to Spring weather!
Thank you friends that brought by these lovely forsythia branches. Love east coast Spring flowers!
This is my first blog! I’ve been thinking about starting one for a while, mostly to document all the changes that motherhood has brought on. However, motherhood has kept me pretty busy so now, 6+ years later, my motivation is a little different. I am trying to get art back into my life and I want to be held accountable. Art for me is like vegetables – veggies nourish and make me feel healthy and more complete even if I have to remind myself to keep eating them. I also know that I am a better balanced person when I can draw or paint every once in a while. So, here we go.
In addition, I solicited help from my daughter (age 6). She expects to see a finished painting everyday she comes home from school. If I don’t produce, I have to pay the toll. Currently, the toll is one “very pretty jump rope” and if I can’t find one pretty enough then removing the training wheels from her bike will do.
